No. The whole point of the second opinion is that our team works from your existing scans, biopsy results and pathology. If something is missing or unclear, we will tell you before the appointment so we can plan around it.
Whatever you have. Typically that means MRI scans of the prostate, PSA blood test results, and the biopsy pathology report and slides. A CD, USB stick, or download link from your previous clinic is fine. We will tell you what is missing once we see what you have.
Where pathology review is part of the second opinion, yes. Your previous clinic will release the slides on request, usually within a week or so. We can guide you through the request if you have not done it before.
Only with your permission. Some patients want a clean second view first before deciding whether to share it; others want us to liaise directly. Either is fine. We will follow your preference.
Within 48 hours of your appointment. The summary covers the team's review of your existing imaging and pathology, the recommended treatment options, and the reasoning behind each.

Yes. The consultant you see for the second opinion remains your specialist if you decide to continue your care with us. You will not be passed between teams.
