No. You can book directly with us. Most of our patients self-refer because they don't want to wait for a GP appointment, and there is no medical reason to require one. If you already have a GP letter that is helpful, but it is not required.
Yes. Whichever consultant you see at the first appointment remains your specialist throughout your care with us. The same consultant reads your scans, makes the recommendation on treatment, and follows you up afterwards.
Allow approximately one hour. The appointment is focused on you, and we do not rush either end. You will have time to talk through symptoms, results and treatment options properly before agreeing next steps.
Photo ID, your insurance card if you are using insurance, a list of any current medication, and any previous test results or scan reports if you have them. We will send you a short pre-assessment pack when you book.
We will arrange them for you. If anything further is required, such as a PSA blood test, MRI, or biopsy, we will explain why it is needed and what it costs before booking it. There are no surprise invoices.
Yes, with most major UK insurers. We are fee assured with BUPA, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna, WPA, Simply Health, Freedom Health Insurance, The Exeter, Healix, Nuffield Health and National Friendly. The simplest approach is to call your insurer first, obtain an authorisation code, and provide it to us when you book.
Most patients are seen within the same week, and often sooner. If you have a red-flag symptom such as visible blood in your urine, please call us on 0161 660 3441 and we will arrange a same-day appointment where possible.
